Sharon Renay Holton Oliver (64)
Renay, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, dear friend of many and businesswoman, passed
away on December 14, 2017. She was in Houston, Texas at MD Anderson fighting
cancer for the second time. Renay was born in Lubbock, TX on March 21, 1953 to Sue
and Carlos Holton. She grew up and lived her life in Odessa, TX. Renay attended and
graduated from Permian High School where she played drums in the band.
Renay is remembered for her love of music (especially the blues), dancing, laughing,
friends, family, and for her sense of humor. She loved Dr. Pepper, Wranglers, the color
purple and keeping her nails done—especially painted red. She had a compassionate
spirit for all who were touched by her love.
In addition to her son, Jason Lambert of Austin and daughter-in-law, Shelley Wood,
Renay is survived by her sister, Kim Lewis; nieces Misty Lewis, Melinda Lewis, Melissa
Lewis Grimaldo, Mandy Whitlock and their families; her four legged children, Charlie
and Sky; her stepchildren Jackson Oliver and Kelli Jones. Renay is remembered by
countless friends and more family with enormous love.
A celebration of Renay's life will be held at a later date.
