.Monikarasmey Sineth Ung was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on November 9th, 1946. She left for paradise on December 13, 2021 at the age of 76 years old in her home with her loved ones by her side.
Monikarasmey came from a family of politicians. She was the niece of the President of the Khmer Republic, Cheng Heng. She lived a luxurious life in her hometown, Phnom Penh. In the 1970’s, Monikarasmey and her husband, Phallarsi San, relocated to Paris, France to finish his Doctorates degree in Hydraulic Engineering and eventually moved her family back to Cambodia. In her earlier years, she had a passion for business such as owning real estate, a gas station, a fruit farm, and also spent her prime traveling around the world to places such as Switzerland, France, Germany, Egypt, etc. She spent the rest of her life in the United States, where she was the proud caretaker of her grandchildren and their relationships were unlike any other. She is survived by her two daughters, Sobhanasy and Fenika San, and grandchildren; Sylvia Nouth, Matthew Tep, Jonathan Nuth, and Jason Kham.
There will be a public visitation held on Saturday December 18, 2021 at 3pm and a chapel service to begin at 4pm. Services will be held at Carnes Funeral Home located at 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591
