Mary Ann Mulkey George
Mary Ann Mulkey George was born March 28, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She passed away November 28, 2021 at age 72 in Texas City, Texas. Mary Ann left behind a loving husband and faithful companion, friend and confidant, Ferdinand George, of more than 30 years. Together they relocated from New Orleans to Texas City in 2005 following Hurricane Katrina.
She is preceded in death by her father, Luther C. Mulkey, and mother, Geraldine Dolan Mulkey Howe; mother-in-law, Florence ,Jacob George; Sister, Patricia (Patsy) Watson; brothers; Bobby Mulkey and Luther Mulkey; and nephew, James Mulkey.
She is survived by sisters; Gale Bohanan and Rose Hudgins (husband Troy). Step-children; (who all affectionately called her Meme) Pamela George, Sandra George, and Frederick George. Grandchildren; K. J. Randolph, Maycie George, Kaycie George, Adriana Rudon, Anita Rudon, and Frederick George Jr. Nieces and nephews; Timothy Watson, Thomas Watson, Tiffany Watson, Chandra Hadfield, Christa Nelson, Ashley LeBlanc, Sabrina Mulkey, Luther Mulkey, Amanda Holt, Tomika George, Larry Stephens,Jacob George, Joseph George and Jeremy George She was loved and adored also by many great nieces and nephews, cousins and and one precious great grandson, and a host of special friends and church members.
In her leisure time, Mary Ann enjoyed spending time taking weekend trips with her best friend and hubby, Ferdinand. Surfing Facebook to keep up with family and friends and participating in her women’s group activities at church. Mary Ann was a quiet woman, a woman of peace and kindness, and a woman who loved her family and loved God.
Family will receive guests for a Celebration of Life service on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 11:00am and be held at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City, 3100 Gulf Freeway
