Jonathan Lynn Wagner, Sr, was born in Borger, Texas on October 12, 1986 to the parents of James Keith Maze Sr. and Lisa Wagner.

Jonathan passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2021.  He was a longtime resident of Alvin, Texas who was a jack of all trades.  He worked in construction and the energy sector.

Jonathan was always cracking jokes with family to keep them uplifted and smiling.  He enjoyed playing video games and rough housing with his boys. He was a big fan of the Texans and Houston Rockets.

Jonathan is survived by his beautiful kids Jonathan Lynn Wagner Jr., Jamarcus Wagner, Janessa Wagner, Jalissa Wagner, Jazlynn Cordova, Scott De Los Santos, Aaron Martinez, and Alexus Martinez of Alvin, Texas.

He loved his pet dog “Takeaway”.

He also leaves behind his parents James Keith Maze Sr. (Nakeshia) of Missouri City, Texas and Lisa Wagner of Webster, Texas; four brothers James Maze Jr. of Abbeville, La; Jayiris Maze (Amiri) of El Paso, Texas; Javon Maze of Missouri City, Texas; Patrek Wagner of Webster, Texas. Three sisters Briana Wagner-English of Texas City, Texas; Jessica Wagner of Webster, Texas; and Jordyn Maze of Missouri City, Texas.  One special Aunt, Sherill Frederick of Alvin, Texas who helped raise him, and Uncle, Leroy Green (Tina) of Kileen, Texas. Grandparens, Frank Wagner Sr. of Buda, Texas and Thelma Waller of Clarksville, Texas.; and a host of nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert James Maze and Roda Mae Maze.  Roda was mom to Jonathan who she raised and cared for.

There will be a visitation held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 8am with a chapel service to begin at 10am.  Services will be held at Carnes Funeral Home located at 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591.
