Jewel Hayden

Jewel Mae Hayden (affectionately known as “Maw Maw”) was born in Houston on March 4, 1944 to Pressley Wilson and Jewel Mae Clooney.  Jewel married Don Hayden in September of 1969 and together they raised three daughters, Joanna Mae, Roxanna Lee and Donna Ann.  Don and Jewel raised their three daughters in Sagemont where Jewel was “everyone’s Mom” she welcomed her daughters’ friends into their home and treated everyone like family.  She often cooked extra food so that there would be plenty for her daughters’ friends.  Jewel called most everyone “baby” or “sweetie” and was loved by many friends and family.  Jewel is preceded in death by her parents; husband Don and sister Mary Lee.  Survivors include her daughters Joanna Lockey, Roxy Sizemore and husband Forrest, Donna Gilliam and husband Richard.  Grandchildren Karissa Sills and husband Jeff, Lauren Cockrell and husband Josh, Amanda Gilliam, Maranda Hood and husband Michael, Hayden Scates, McKay Scates and wife Erin, Tyler Sizemore, Levi Peters and Alayna Peters.  Jewel was also a great grandmother to Jarrett Sills, Ava Peters, Kynzlee Peters, Zane Gray and Raelynn Hood.
