Gwendolyn Moses was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 24, 1951 to Daniel and Elvera Moses. She passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the age of 69 years old, at her home in La Marque, Texas.
Gwendolyn recently moved back to Texas to be closer to her kids and grandkids. The best part of her life was being a grandmother, which she was to so many more than she bore. Her hobbies were dancing, traveling, cooking, and being a grandma.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Wardell Batiste; son, Gerald Moses; great grandson, Devonta Bryant; and brothers, Gregory, Reginald, and Daniel. Gwendolyn is survived by her son, Donald Moses and his wife, Treecee and his son, Donald Bryant; daughter, Shantell Moses and her children, Shania, Mercedes, Bacaj and Dammyana; sister, Brenda Moses and her husband Bryant Lee and their children, Gwyan, April, Bryant, and Bryan Moses; great grandchildren, Laila, Rori, BJ, Diego, and Little Donald; as well as all those who simply knew her as Gram.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in the Chapel of Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591. Gwendolyn’s Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00pm.
