Ethel Bishop

Ethel Bishop, born on July 28, 1939 in Houston, Texas. She left this earthly place on August 2, 2021 at her home in San Leon, Texas surrounded by her family.

Ethel is proceeded in death by her mother Ilean and husband GW Stewart; father Walter Ferguson; son Floyd “Al” Coots; daughters Rebecca Feeser and Debbie Bishop. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Ivan Bishop; daughter Alice Yvonne and husband Brian Manis; son David and wife Kelly Bishop; grandchildren Tammy Thomas; Jennifer and Charles Holdren; Ivan Garrison; Heather and Eric Putnam; Danielle and Louis Gonzales; Ricky and Tanya Garrison; Michael and Brittney Garrison; Brenda Ryder; Jessica Gustafson; Charlie and Chelsea Bishop; many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Ethel loved to travel and cruise the world. She dearly loved her husband and felt that he was “the best man that God has ever made”. She cherished the times that she spent with her children and all of her grandchildren. She had a great passion for her dogs and farm animals. She enjoyed giving of her time from volunteering at her church to playing the role as Mrs. Claus for community children.  She has left a mark everywhere she went with her strong character, passion and dimple filled smiles.

Services will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas with Rev. James Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. A reception will follow immediately after the services at 2989 Terrell Cove Lane League City, Texas where the family would love to welcome everyone to join in fellowship. A private burial will be the following week at the San Leon Cemetery.
