Debra Lynn Pitsch

Debra Pitsch

Our wonderful and loving sister was born May 24, 1955 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Donald and Rose Pitsch.  She is survived by three older brothers, Donald (Kim), Robert, Charles (Pam) and two younger Richard and William who kept her entertained and on her toes.  She was also aunt to 3 nieces and a nephew and great aunt to 4 grandnieces and a grandnephew.  She peacefully passed from this life November 24, 2020 at the MD Anderson Hospital facility.  Being an avid animal lover with a special fondness for cats (“Binkers” was hers), she did volunteer work at the local Humane Society shelter after graduating from Concord High School in Elkhart, Indiana in 1974.  When the family relocated to Houston, she started working at the Meyerland Animal Clinic in 1982 until the spring of 2020 when failing health forced her to leave.  She received a 25 year pin for her volunteer work at Houston’s Southwest Memorial as a nurse’s aide.  She was later honored in 2017 for rescuing and caring for pets during the hurricane Harvey tragedy.  Besides animals her passion was shopping and distributing her baked goods to one and all.  The Mall of America fascinated her and when visiting in Minnesota there was always time for a special trip.   Due to the current pandemic a memorial service will be planned the future.
