Carolyn was born in Leesville, LA  on  August 23,1941. She has been a resident  of Galveston County for over 35 yrs.

 

Mrs. Utterbeck was preceded in death by her parents Neal Matlock Sr. and Margie Newton, her husband James Utterbeck , a son James Randolph Utterbeck and her granddaughters Brenda and Brianna Utterbeck.

 

  She is survived by her daughters Debbie Utterbeck of Pearland,Tx and Terri Cotton her husband William of Santa Fe, Tx, son John Utterbeck Sr. of Hitchcock, Tx. Sister Claudie Schmidt and husband JB of Friendswood, Tx., brother Neal Matlock Jr and wife Mary Kay of South Shore, Tx. Nieces Jamie Pace of Friendswood, Courtney Kee and husband Matt of Alvin , Stephanie Clare and husband Scott of Galveston,  nephew  Aaron Matlock of  Tacoma, Washington. Grandchildren Amber Kinsey and husband Sam of Santa Fe, David Cotton of Santa Fe, John Utterbeck Jr Santa Fe, Zachery Utterbeck of Kokomo, IN, Wilma Utterbeck of  Kokomo, IN,. Great grandchildren Douglas Bleimeyer , Hannah Bleimeyer, Laci Cotton, Samantha Kinsey , Cahner Cotton all of Santa Fe, tx , Daviana Lynn Cotton and Fiona Rae Cotton of La Marque. She also leaves her aunt Betty Elmore and husband Raymond of Hitchcock, Tx, sister in law Alice Masten of Santa Fe, Tx. Her uncle Alva Duncan and wife Alice of Leesville, LA., many more cousins and family members if I have forgotten to mention you I am sorry. 

 

Mom will be missed by many, we may not have seen each other as much as we would like but , she knew we all loved her. She is now resting in peace .

 

The family will have a gathering to celebrate Carolyn's life at a later date.
