Wanda Louise Dulaney
Wanda Louise Dulaney was finally freed from the constraints of her mortal life on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. As she closed her eyes in sleep, her family held her hand and told her good bye. She opened her eyes to find herself standing on her own two feet, in front of The Eternal City, being welcomed by angels and archangels, who were singing praises to God.
We imagine that Wanda noticed the figure of a man standing before her with a smile on his face and his hands stretched toward her, welcoming her home. It was surely her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As she took His hands, they turned to observe a vast crowd of welcomers standing behind Him. Front and center were her parents, William and Lorrine Jennings. In their arms was a young baby boy who Wanda recognized as her son Edward (Little Eddie) taken from her and Eldon before he was able to have a life of his own. Their reunion was surely glorious. Wanda noticed another figure standing to the side, with tears of joy in her eyes. It was her beloved daughter in law, Martha Dulaney, who had also arrived “early”. Suddenly, as the crowd encircled her, Wanda found herself surrounded by aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers from Sears, neighbors and friends from Galveston, Texas and Salis, Arkansas (where she and her husband Eldon liver briefly) and a multitude of earthly friends and extended family, whose lives touched during her earthly journey. At the end of a lengthy reunion, the crowds, suddenly, as if on cue, silenced themselves and backed up to form an opening. In total silence and confusion, Wanda looked up and found herself looking upon the face of God, Himself. Even though described in The New Testament of God’s word, we can only imagine the miracles that happened next. These can only be revealed to each and every one who, too, finds themselves looking upon the face of God. Wanda hopes that all who read this notice will experience the joy, as she has.
Mrs. Dulaney was born, Wanda Jennings on Nov. 11, 1929, in Port Lavaca, Texas. She attended school in Galveston and graduated in from Ball High School in 1948. She married quite possibly, the most loving husband of all time, Everett Eldon Dulaney, on April 3, 1949 and spent 69 glorious years loving him. After several heartbreaking attempts, Wanda and Eldon were finally allowed to keep their class act of a son, Donald Wayne Dulaney. Don and his wife Martha gave birth to another class act, possibly the greatest grand daughter of all time, Jennifer Kelly, who in turn, along with Jennifer’s husband Cody presented Wanda and Eldon with the joy of their lives, two great grandsons Cameron and Kaden. Wanda’s life was filled with Joy and love that sadly, is not experienced by everyone.
