Ervin Wayne Janice was born in Houston, Texas on August 6, 1955. He passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 at the age of 58 years, in Texas City, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother Irene, and father Ervin.
Wayne is survived by his son, Kenneth Janice and wife Wendi; grandchildren Daphne, Dean, and Darcy Janice; His fiancée, Vicki Cappa and her family, Bobby Burns and Amy Ferguson with children Kobe, Jaselyn, and Brayson Burns; Amber Ferguson and children Erica and Jazmynn Daniels. Also Survived by his aunt Frances "Alene" Cole; his brothers and their families Raymond Janice and wife Cindy, and Robert Janice and wife Lynda as well as several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Wayne was a lifelong resident of Galveston County and a graduate of Santa Fe High School. He had a 35 year career as an operator and training coordinator at an acrylic unit currently owned by Arkema. Wayne participated for many years in the local Amateur Softball Association as an umpire where his skills and his shoes were the shiniest items on the field. Wayne had a deep appreciation of all genres of music and although he did not like Garth Brooks, he definitely has "Friends in Low Places". Whether he was at the golf course or at the blackjack tables, Wayne loved to enjoy a well made cigar. He loved to be in the kitchen and keep bellies full with his Cajun culinary concoctions.

Visitation for Mr. Ervin "Wayne" Janice from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Carnes Funeral Home -Texas City, TX, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591.
Funeral Service will follow at Noon at Carnes Funeral Home - Texas City. Interment will follow at the Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas
