Wanda J. Wilkes
Wanda J. Wilkes passed away peacefully on October 21, 2017 under the loving care of her daughters- Sissy (Wynnona) and Dianne.
Wanda lived in Seabrook for almost 70 years and worked many jobs to help support her family including working and retiring from the City of Seabrook. She was also President of the Seabrook Cemetery Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Wilkes; son, Donald Ray Wilkes and daughter, Susan Alene Wilkes-Henderson. She was survived by her son Charles Michael Wilkes, but only by hours. Wanda and her son, Charles were both born on July 16th and passed away on October 21st. She is also survived by daughters Wynnona (Sissy) Hearn and Dianne Little; grandsons, Chris Wilkes and Nathan Henderson; great grandson Bradley Henderson, and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dearest family friends, George and Becky Rogers, Dean and Barb Paulcheck, and Bob and Ellen Snow. Her last days would not have been as easy without the care she received from Esther.
Wanda fought cancer for the last two years and with hopes of helping find a cure for this terrible disease, she has donated her body to science.
A memorial service will be held at the Seabrook Cemetery located on Pine Gully Rd on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
