Valerie Jean Pierpoint
Valerie Jean Barbero Pierpoint, 58, passed away on December 12, 2015 after a long brave battle with illness. Val is a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She was the widower of Sanford “Buddy” Pierpoint. They shared 24 years of marriage together.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the daughter of James Barbero and Mary Jo Stuecken. She spent her adult years as a housewife and mother.
Val was a kind and protective soul who tried to help all her loved ones in need. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, talking to people in general, and living life on her terms. Val loved the outdoors, especially the beach and was dedicated to her plants and animals. She will be remembered for her caring and humorous nature, generosity, long conversations, and random jokes. She would always find a way to lighten a tough situation and bring laughter to those around her. She truly lived life to the fullest without regret.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer Moore, Nicole Moore, Kimberly Moore, and James Moore III; grandchildren, Ashley McVeigh, Crystal McVeigh, and Alyssa McVeigh; and great grandchild, Ryleigh McVeigh. She was predeceased by brother, Timothy Barbero; nephew, Ryan Clement; and grandparents.
The memorial service will be held on December 19, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Fwy, Texas City, TX. The visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to the time of the service.
