Sulema Garcia Aguirre
Sulema Garcia Aguirre passed away peacefully at Ashford Gardens on Tuesday December 15, 2014. She was 80 years old. A visitation will begin at 12pm with Funeral Services following at 3pm on Saturday December 20, 2014 at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway in Texas City with a small reception afterwards.
Sulema lived her life with many accomplishments. She was a homemaker, but was also a business owner with her husband Eulalio Aguirre. They had barber shops and cantinas in the Second Ward Area in Houston where they served all their friends and family with great pride and happiness. When her calling as a business owner ended, she was a very present hand in helping to raise her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and they all thrived and flourished under her watchful eye in her loving home. As all the children grew and made their way in the world she found other ways to fill her days. She loved life and was always accomplishing new goals, whether it was as supervisor of her home repairs or tending to her beautiful garden, both of which she was very proud of and always ready to show off. As time took its toll on her she went to live under the supervision of the wonderful staff of Ashford Gardens, where she met many new friends and lived her last years comfortably. She is proceeded in death by her parents George and Carmen Garcia, husband Eulalio Aguirre, son Juan Antonio Aguirre and sisters Jesusita and Consuelo Garcia
Sulema's memories will be cherished by her surviving children; Virginia Gonzalez, Larry Aguirre and wife Mary , Janie Jaramillo, George Aguirre, Robert Aguirre and wife Peggy , Jesse Aguirre and wife Sherri and Rose Sanchez; her grandchildren Sulema, Conrad, Chris, Zack and Sergio Gonzalez; Laura, Larry Jr., Dawn, Abel and Monica Aguirre; Juan Manuel, JoAnn and Adam Jaramillo; Anthony and Christopher Aguirre; Melissa and George Jr. Aguirre; Shayla and Robert Jr. Aguirre; Alexandra, Jessica, Amanda, Jesse Jr., Danielle, Juan Antonio and Adriana Aguirre; Toni and Richard Sanchez, plus many more great grand children and great great grandchildren.
She will be missed but her family and friends are happy to know she is in the loving arms of our Savior and her legacy will continue with all of the stories and life lessons she has gifted us with.
