Stephen Henry Esders
Stephen Henry Esders, Jr., 84, of Texas City, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Stephen was born January 28, 1929 in Galveston, Texas and was preceded in death by Edith A. Esders, a devoted mother and wife of over 50 years.
Stephen graduated from Kirwin High School in Galveston, Texas, served in the U.S. Army overseas in Germany, worked at Union Carbide before starting his own successful business, South Coast Data Corporation in Houston, Texas. Stephen and his wife, Edith, enjoyed ballroom dancing, spending time at their Tiki Island beach house, traveling around the country and frequently visiting Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada. Stephen was very adventuresome and was an auto and sailing enthusiast. Everyone who knew him, loved and respected him.
He is survived by his son Stephen Esders and wife Lisa, of Dickinson; daughters, Stephanie Martin and husband, Gary, of Santa Fe, Texas; Denise Esders Dittrich, of Santa Fe, Texas; grandchildren: Myles Martin, of Arlington, Virginia; Matthew Martin, of Santa Fe, Texas; Erica and Sydney Esders of Dickinson, Texas.
Also preceding him in death were his sisters, Betty Esders Cooper and Dorothy Esders Hooper.
