Sheila Anderson Chargois
Sheila Anderson Chargois was born February 17, 1953 and was raised by her grandparents, Mr. Jesse and Jessie Bell Sams. She was born to Joyce Reynolds Jackson and Gardy Anderson in Galveston, TX.
Sheila graduated from La Marque High School in 1971 and Massey Business College. She started her career as a secretary at Union Carbide in 1976 and worked through the transition to Dow. She diligently worked her way up to an Analytical Technologist and was still employed until her death, July 25, 2015.
Sheila, a song writer, loved music, especially gospel, and began playing the piano for Progressive Baptist Church at the age of 14. She loved the Lord, accepted him and was baptized at an early age. Sheila was the founder of the “Gospel Sounds Musical”, member of the Houston Chapter of GMWA-Houston Mass Choir and South Texas District Association. She also sat in as musician for many of the area churches including Trinity Baptist Church, New Hope Baptist Church and Fellowship Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member.
Sheila is preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; a granddaughter, Morgan Idann Elizabeth Williams and three brothers. She is survived by daughters, Gennifer Williams and Monique Chargois; grandson, Christian Davis; three sisters and three brothers; four god daughters; and her dear friend, Charlotte Cook.

A Celebration of Sheila's Life will be Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Carnes Funeral Home 3100 Gulf Freeway Texas City, TX 77591.
