Sergio J. Villarreal
Sergio J. Villarreal, 67, of Houston, TX passed away on April 16, 2011. He was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamps, Mexico on December 3, 1943 to Romeo Villarreal and Yolanda Durand.
He was a mason and belonged to luz de oriente # 64. In his past time he enjoyed the HAM radio and his handle was Aguila 4 and Cuartro Pelos. He was a painter by trade and worked for TEKO Contractors Inc. for 20 years. He lived in Houston for 44 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Romeo Villarreal and Yolanda Durand; sister, Ernestina Villarreal, nephew, Fred Thompson, brother in law, Hubert Thompson Sr.
Sergio is survived by his sons, Sergio Villarreal, Jose Villarreal, Leo Thompson, Luis Flores; daughters, Sara Reyes, Sandra Villarreal, Sylvia Taylor and her husband Franklin; brother, Olegario Vega, Rito Vega; sisters, Yolanda Thompson, Argelia Hinojosa, Romelia Olivares, Marta Zuniga, Irma Chavez, Ermelinda Vega, Josefina Vega; 12 grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 PM at Carnes Funeral Home, 1102 Indiana Street, South Houston, Texas 77587. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Minvera Torres officiating.
