Sarah Ellen Glenn

Sarah Glenn

Sarah Ellen Glenn was born in Columbia, MO in May of 1930 and transitioned from our lives peacefully and was surrounded by love at her home.  Sarah travelled the world as an Air Force wife while caring for three children.  Her love, laughter and humor were contagious and she could find humor in the most trying of times.  Ever a student of life and deeply spiritual, Sarah found her worship in the mountains, trees, sky and oceans.  Her search for understanding and wisdom was shown through her love of people and animals.  She was active politically and encouraged all around her to participate in our democracy.

Sarah is preceded in death by husband, Robert Glenn, Jr.; sister, Alice Gast; brother, Glenn Davis and many friends who were dear to her for most of her life.

Sarah is survived by son, Robert Glenn III and wife, Linda; son John Glenn; daughter, Lucy Glenn and spouse, Yvette Booker; grandchildren, Kate Glenn and Judith Glenn.  We are fortunate to have people in our lives that have helped us spiritually and physically:  Nita Beard, Sarah’s beautiful and loving caregiver and the many nurses, therapists and doctors who grew to love her.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591.  409-986-9900.  In lieu of flowers and to honor Sarah’s memory, please give a home to an animal in need, donate to your local shelter and vote in your elections.
