Samuel Salas was born on August 5, 1948 in Harlingen, Texas. On July 10, 2019, The Lord decided that he needed a special angel and called him home. Sam was 70 years old.
Sam was married to Linda Salas, the love of his life for 47 years. Together, they had five children: JJ, Maryann, Sam Jr., Clyde and Vangie. Samuel was very proud of them.
Sam had plenty of hobbies, but his all-time favorites were his 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grand kids.
Sam was a hard-working man. He took so much pride in providing for his family that, even after he retired, he would not stop working. He finally learned how to relax and just enjoy time. He just loved being at his house and in his yard grilling BBQ with his sons and brother. They would have a good time while drinking and singing together. Meanwhile, his daughters would occupy his favorite woman, Linda Salas. This grew to be a source of peace for Sam.
We will remember Sam with all the good times and memories he gave us. He will truly be missed by everyone who had ever met him…unless they got his bad side!
Sam is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Salas and his treasured children; JJ, Maryann, Sam Jr., Clyde, and Vangie. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Stephanie, Samantha, John, Jose, Nino, Sammy, Emily, Destiny, Tristan, Romeo and Bailey.
Sam’s family will receive visitors and celebrate his life on Saturday, July 13, 2019, from 2-5 pm in the chapel of Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591.
