Roy C. Holmes
Roy Holmes IV of Texas City, Texas was born on April 8, 1972 in Galveston, Texas to Roy Holmes III and Sandra Holmes (Rougeau). On Monday, May 13, 2013 he departed this life to be with the Lord.
King Roy was a guy with a big smile and a bigger heart who truly loved his family, friends and all those that came in contact with him. Fashion was his passion as he loved bright colors that accented the brightness of his smile. Roy was an avid sports fan, and he loved to cheer on his Dallas Cowboys in the company of his family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and having “The Sexiest Legs in America.”
Roy was a graduate of La Marque High School Class of 1991. He then enlisted in the United States Navy. Roy later earned an Associate of Applied Science in Process Technology from College of the Mainland. He then went on to graduate as a Licensed Vocational Nurse from Galveston College.
He is preceded in death by his fathers, Uylice J. Rougeau and Roy Holmes III, his grandparents, Joyce and Buster Gardner, and his aunt Valarie Mumford.
Roy leaves precious memories with his devoted mother Sandra Rougeau,;daughter Amia Bellard; brother Wendell Rougeau (Angela); three nieces, Aydrianna Rougeau, Amaya Rougeau, and Aylice Rougeau; and a host of other relatives and numerous friends.
The funeral service will be held at Queen of Peace,1200 Cedar, La Marque, TX 77568 on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 10:30 AM and the visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. The graveside service will be held on May 22, 2013 at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr Houston, TX 77038 at 11:00 AM.
