Rasmee Hasitavej

            Dr. Rasmee Hasitavej was born in Bangkok Thailand to parents Dr. Att and Mrs. Jerm Hasitavej, on October 27, 1926. He went to Heaven on June 27, 2014 to be by his beloved wife, Ypuha, who passed six weeks prior. He is predeceased by parents; Att Hasitavej MD and Mrs. Jerm Puangdokmai, siblings; Vailyavej and Kuanlert Hasitavej. He is survived by his siblings; Srisalai Kiatbunlue, Prasertsook Hasitavej, children; Marie (Alek) Bilinski, Manop Don Hasitavej, and numerous relatives in Thailand.

            Dr. Rasmee began his medical training in Bangkok Thailand and completed his studies at University Massachusetts Medical Center, specializing in Pediatrics. His career was caring for the mentally disabled and was an ardent champion and advocate for his clients and families. He is the author of the book “How to Live With and Overcome the Problems of Mental Retardation” and several related articles.

            He will be remembered for his spiritual beliefs, witty humor, love of adventure/travel, devotion to family and his patients, and dimply smile. He was known for his creative mind and typically thinking “out of the box”. He will be deeply missed. Special thanks to Kimberly, Mackenzie, Rosa, Candice and Dr. Susannah C. Perkins.

            Dr. Rasmee’s funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernadette’s Church, 15500 El Camino Real, Houston, Texas 77062 on Tuesday July 8, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
