Pete Clifford Eugene Peterson
Clifford “Pete” Eugene Peterson was born in West Monroe, Louisiana on January 31, 1943. He passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at the age of 71 in the V.A. Hospital in Houston, Texas.
He served in the U.S. Navy after which he married his beloved wife, Ann.
As a member of the team from Philco Ford who built ground equipment form NASA space shuttles, his name is among those on a plaque placed on the moon during one of the early lunar landing.
Pete retired from BNSF railroad after 30 years as a conductor and enjoyed telling stories of those years. His love of trivia also kept family and friends entertained throughout his life.
Pete is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth Ann Peterson; brother, Charles Oscar Peterson and wife Clare of Nassau Bay, Texas; He will be greatly missed by his 9 nephews; 4 nieces, multiple cousins, and a host of family and friends.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City. Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Reverend Tony Garza will be officiating.
