Pauline Lee Blockman
Pauline Lee Blockman was the youngest child born to the union of Perry and Mary Mock-Lee. She was born February 9th, 1938 in Galveston and graduated with the Central HighSchool Bearcats Class of 1957.
Pauline was a dedicated mother and lifelong member of the West Point Baptist Church. She worked 15years in UTMB-Graves Hosp in Psychiatry. She was also a private duty sitter for many years until her health failed. She loved her gospel music and daily dose of soap opera television and of course her high heel shoes.
Sister Pauline Lee Blockman departed this life on Monday, November 6, 2017 surrounded by her family and slipped away peacefully to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Walter and Robert Lee, and sister Mary Ada Johnson.
She leaves with fond memories her son Ernest L. Scott Jr., daughter Torando Mae Cazar (John Abdul-Jabbaar), daughter in law Josephine Fredricks, 4 grandchildren, Tynesha Moody, Tamara Moody, Ryan Cazar, Nicholas Cazar all of Galveston. 5 great-grandchildren, and a special friend Lela Lockett Ware and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
It was Pauline’s desire to donate her body to UTMB Willed Body Program in hopes of helping others.
Homegoing celebration will be Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11am at West Point Baptist Church 3003 Ave M in Galveston with Rev. Kerry W. Tillmon officiating.
