Patsy Linscomb

Patsy Rose Williams-Linscomb born on beautiful Spring day, March 24, 1948 in Galveston, Texas. She was the youngest of four children born to the proud parents of Mr. Willie Williams and Mrs. Florence Williams-Johnson. Pasty made her transition to her heavenly home on December 20, 2014 at her residence in Texas City, Texas surrounded by her sisters and children. Patsy received her nursing degree from UTMB and worked tirelessly over 40 years in the areas of  Medical/Surge, Geriatric nursing later retiring as a mental health/substance abuse nurse. Forever & Always passionate about nursing and helping those who were ill, lead her to pursue a degree as Licensed Chemical Dependence Counselor and there as a surrogate mother to those who were mentally disabled. Patsy was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharist and in pursuit of a deeper faith in Christ, she was lead to attend services at Abundant Life Church in Texas City, Texas which lead her to author a book, “The Reveal” in dedication to her love and faith in Christ. All who knew her knew she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend and passionate about the bonds she created along the way leaving no one to walk away a stranger. She volunteered her services to healthcare organizations, a member of social groups, and was Proud to be a “Central Bearcat“, Class of  1966. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Dwight Linscomb, her parents, and her eldest grandson, Brian Simmons. Leaving to cherish her fondest memories are her children, Michael D. O’Conner, Michelle D. Capes, Kim (Mark) Temple and Jaimey J. Rougeaux. Her brother Dr. Robert LeMaile-Williams (Machara) of Los Angeles, CA, sisters Melba Williams-Taylor and Mary Z. Jackson. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 2 great grand kids, a devoted cousin Rita Beaufeanex, her childhood friend, Linda Overshon, her God daughter/niece, Dianthalyn Rogers, and two ladies she loved her own daughters, Ada Simmons, and Chantel Campos of Huntington, CA.

The family extends special heart felt thanks to her health care team and champions, Dr. Ajay Mitter, Dr. Mark DAndre and Corine Apple of AMED Health Care and providing special attention to her during this time, her niece Nichelle Cobb. Patsy Rose will be missed by a host of loving relatives and friends. 


A Celebration of Her Life will be held Saturday December 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Carnes Funeral Home Chapel 3100 Gulf Freeway Texas City, TX 77591.  Memorials may be sent to the Funeral Home.  Dorthea Jones is the Family Funeral Director.
