Patrick Hugh Donnelly
Strong, Strong, Strong.
Patrick Hugh Donnelly was born on March 26, 1945 in Manhattan, New York, He passed at the age of 66 in his home in Dickinson, TX on Sunday, October 30, 2011. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, November 4, 2011 with close family and friends at the Alvin United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM., 611 W. South Street TX, 77511.
Patrick was not only a strong willed man, but also a strong hearted one as well. He was a hard-worker and a knowledgeable man. His love for knowledge and learning was evident and this love was passed on to those whom love him and his children. He often enjoyed telling stories and had a great sense of humor. He would catch you off guard with his humor when you least expected it and made you smile. He had a keen eye for detail and a quick wit about him.
Pat had many interests in his life that he enjoyed with many family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, especially in Rockport, the Texas City pier and on family vacations. He also had a passion for cooking. Every Sunday he would cook a meal which was a tradition his family loved. Not only did he love to cook, but he also loved to eat and had a vast pallet for many foods. His love of sports was known to those who knew him; baseball was his favorite, though football and golf followed closely behind. One of his favorite meals was a good old fashion hotdog, especially when watching a baseball game or sporting event. He loved reading, usually falling asleep with a book by his side. Besides reading, he loved crossword puzzles and trivia games. He was greatly loved by his family and we were honored to have him in our lives.
In loving memory and survived by Terri Donnelly, Susan Roger and her husband David Roger, Amanda Pearson and her husband Gregg Pearson, Rebecca Donnelly, Brannon Morris, Jenna Donnelly, Blaire Donnelly and Jaicob Smith; including grandchildren, Sydney Roger, Tanner Pearson and Max Pearson.
