Patrick "Curlee" Landers
Patrick Landers (Curlee Tatman)
Our beloved Curlee passed away at home on Wed, Oct. 7, 2015 following a long battle with cancer.
He is preceded in death by father, George Landers.
He is survived by mother, Dolores Newland Landers; brothers, Michael (Barbara) Landers, Mark Landers and sister, Mary Alice Landers of Dallas, WV; children, Kerin (John) Haueisen of Navarre, FL, Kallen Landers, Matthew Levi Landers and Shannon (John) Whitney of Crossville, TN, Sari Rovinsky of Ashville, NC; step-children, Jason Hutcherson of Crossville, TN, Sarah Parker & Lucas Moore of Galveston, TX and grandsons, Kyler Landers of Crossville, TN, Matthew Aiden Parker of Galveston, TX and Taylor Jay Whitney of Crossville, TN. He is also survived by his companion of 18 years Maggi Parker-Gentry.
Patrick was born at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio and spent his youth in many different locations while his father served in the US Air Force. He graduated from Northmont High School in Dayton, Ohio and served his country honorably in the US Army.
Resident of Galveston since 1997. Owner/Operator of Island Tattoo from 1999 to 2010. Curlee was a lifelong hunter, an avid fisherman and a sports fan. He loved the beautiful game of soccer and cheering on his favorite team, Manchester United. He was an honored member of the Galveston Pool Players Association.
Curlee was very touched that so many of his dear friends attended his memorial beach party. It was his wish to share that "living memorial" with us rather than have an organized service after his passing. His remains will be interred at Mount View Cemetery in Dallas, WV. The family may hold an informal memorial at a later date.
In lieu of flowers or donations Curlee would want you to plant a tree, clean a beach or adopt a pet in his memory.
