Patricia Anne Riley
Patricia Anne Riley, 69, of League City, TX, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017. Patricia was born July 27, 1947, in Oak Hill, West Virginia, to Harlan J. Bast and Betty A. Bast. Pat was a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Counseling as well as graduating with degrees in Psychology, Nursing and Elementary Education. She was a member of National Honor Societies Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Chi, Psi Chi and Chi Sigma Iota.
Pat went on to work as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Professional Counselor and was extremely involved with her family and community. She has been a Texas resident for 30+ years and her life was rich in experience and has been full of adventure. She has travelled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Caribbean, South America, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and many more. She believed her greatest recent adventures were spending time with her four grandkids and husband of 50+ years. She will be remembered for her kind and giving heart. She lived life to help her family and others and will be dearly missed.
Her father, Harlan J. Bast, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother, Betty A. Bast; husband Edward Frank Riley; Son Edward Riley II, Houston, TX; Daughter Stacey Martinsen and her husband Mark Martinsen, League City, TX; grandchildren Brooklyn Riley, Riley Martinsen, Madison Martinsen and Carter Martinsen; Brother Jim Bast and his wife Dot Bast; Sister Bonnie Bast; Brother Harlan Bast II and his wife Georgia Bast; nephews Jimmy Bast and Jeffrey Bast.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591 on Sunday, July 9th, 2017. Services will begin at 2:00pm and be followed by fellowship beginning at 3:00pm in the banquet hall at Carnes Funeral Home.
