Nellie McAlpine Morales
Nellie McAlpine Morales “ Peaches” 75, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren. Nellie was born in Austin, Texas to Albert Valdez Sr. and Lucy Sanchez. She came from a family of 17 siblings that were a big part of her life. She was their second mother.
She was the dear wife of Dolores Morales Jr. “Wido”. They shared 53 years of marriage and had four children Nellie Dolores Morales Palmer, Ursula Joy Morales Gonzales, Larissa Eunice Morales Avilez and Elias Delano Morales, with their four children the family was extended. She welcomed two son-in-law’s Ricardo Gonzales and Richard Avilez and one Daughter-In-law Teresa Morales.
Nellie was a member of the Texas City Congregation of the Jehovah Witnesses. She enjoyed being around her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the loves of her life. She will be remembered by her kindness, loyalty and sweet nature. Our mother was always willing to lend a helping to anyone.
She is preceded in death by her mother and Father Albert Valdez Sr. and Lucy Sanchez.
She leaves behind her husband Dolores Morales Jr, her children Nellie Dolores Morales Palmer, Ursula Joy Morales Gonzales, Larissa Eunice Morales Avilez and Elias Delano Morales eight grandchildren Amber Gomez, Michael Martinez Jr., Jaklynn Martinez, Elias Morales Jr., Alyssa Morales, Jada Ochoa, Angelina Ochoa, and Giovani Avilez. She also leaves behind five great grandchildren Adrian Villareal II, Adriana Villareal, Michael Martinez III “Pico”, Nathaniel “Wido” Gomez and Evelyn Martinez.

A visitation will be held Friday June 17, 2016 at Carnes Funeral Home located at 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 18, 2016 at 1:00pm
