Michael Dean Bryant Sr,
Our beloved Father, Michael D. Bryant Sr. and Mother, Lorenea D. Benefield Bryant, went to be with our Lord. Lorenea D. Bryant, 61 on March 16, 2021 and Michael D. Bryant Sr., 62 on March 23, 2021. They were High School Sweethearts and were married in 1980 for 40 years and would have celebrated their 41st Wedding Anniversary on March 29, 2021.
Michael & Lorenea Bryant memory will forever linger in the hearts of her devoted Three Children, Sha’Lisa Petteway (Thomas), Sha’Neda Bryant and Michael Dean Bryant II. Three Grandchildren Keyshawn Petteway, Koby Petteway and Sammiah King.
Michael was a beloved Father, Grandfather, Son, and Brother. He was loved by many. He was a contract driver for Kenan Advantage Trucking Company for 30+ years. He graduated from Western High School Las Vegas. He was member of Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church under Pastor Randall.
Michael was preceded in death by his Mother, Marene Bryant; Grandfather, Rev. F.S. Clay; Stepmother, Dorothy Bryant; Niece, Charmante Jones and Nephew, Kenya Jones.
He leaves behind Father, John Bryant, Brothers, Anthony Bryant of Texas City, Texas, Warren Bryant of Las Vegas; Sister Jackie Bryant of Hitchcock, Texas, Wanda Kiles of Las Vegas; Kelli Bryant of LaMarque, Texas (Roderic Washington); Uncle, Jerry Bryant of Bay City, Texas and Aunt, Doris Shanklin of Hitchcock, Texas.
Lorenea was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister. She was loved by many. One of Lorenea’s greatest achievements was raising her children and being a grandmother to 3 grandchildren. She graduated from Hitchcock High in 1978 in Hitchcock Texas. She was member of Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church under Pastor Randall.
Lorenea was preceded in death by her Mother, Audrey M. (Donley) Benefield; Father, William D. Benefield Sr. and Brother Kenneth P. Benefield Sr.
She leaves behind Five Brothers, William D. Benefield, Jr. (Cheryl) of Webster, Texas; Harambee W. Thymullah of Austin, Texas; Gerold D. Benefield of Houston, Texas; Gregory Benefield (Bridgette) of Texas City, Texas; Ronald C. Benefield (Irish) of Pearland, Texas; five Sisters, Odelia Benefield, Hitchcock, Texas; Jacqueline M. Johnson (D.J.) of Mesquite, Texas; Dolores J. Dotson (Duncan Sr.) Rockwall, Texas; Bertha L. Benefield of Garland, Texas; and Tamiko J. Hinmon (Ryan) Fate, Texas.
They both had numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 11am – 12 noon in the Chapel of Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591. The Homecoming Celebration Memorial Service will follow at 12 noon.
