Maxine Goodman

Maxine Imogean Goodman (Seal) was born in Spurgeon, Missouri on March 3, 1925.  She passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the age of 89 years, in Webster, Texas.  She was widowed.

Jean is survived by her Sister, Ruth Valente of Arroyo Grande, California, and daughter, Carol Bryan of Houston, Texas.  She had two sons, Don Lewis of Anchorage, Alaska and Larry Lewis of Van Buren, Arkansas, both deceased.  Grandchildren are Sean Bryan and wife, Shari of Dickinson, Texas, Adam Lewis and wife, Ami of Anchorage, Alaska, Colleen Franklin and husband Terry of Sallisaw, Oklahoma and Rebecca Lewis and husband Eric of Anchorage, Alaska and four great-grandchildren.

Jean spent her last joyous years at the Cottages of Clear Lake in League City, Texas.  Her church family is associated with the United Pentecostal Church in Van Buren, Arkansas, Pastor Steve Davis.  Jean homesteaded with her family in Kenai, Alaska in 1955 where her children grew up; she became a private pilot in May, 1960 and was Head Dietician for the school in Kenai. Jean served the Lord since she was 17 years old and read her Bible daily. She never met a stranger and all who touched her life felt loved.
