Mary had a great love for God. Early in the morning before doing anything else she spent time with God by reading her Bible and praying. She was a caring woman; always thinking of others and placing them first, even during her hardest times. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She always wanted what was best for them and prayed daily for them. Mary loved and enjoyed spending time with her friends. They often talked about God and His great love. She also loved riding on the Harley Davidson with her husband, James, and letting the wind blow through her hair. She was a great woman who was loved by all and will be missed by all who had the honor of sharing her life.
The funeral service will be held at The Fellowship Church in Texas City on July 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM with a visitation from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The graveside service will be at San Leon Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be the men of great importance in her life: James Johnson, Charles Welch, Robert Wittig, William Wittig, James Rilea, and Steve Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Animal Alliance of La Marque in honor of Mary Johnson. She loved and cared for all animals, from her two puppies, Daisy and Chewy, to the strays in her neighborhood; she loved them all!
