MARTHA DOLORES WINSTON PYLANT was born September 16, 1927, in Sweeny, Texas and passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019. She was 91. Dolores was proceeded in death by her loving husband George Barbee Pylant, Jr., her father Henry Sanford Winston, her mother Winnie Christine Winston, her brother Henry S. (Pete) Winston, Jr., sister-in-law Phyllis Winston, brother-in-law Terry Young, and son-in-law Douglas R. Ainsworth. She is survived by her five children and spouses, Linda Soliz (Dan), Sharron Ainsworth, Jan Whatley (Ron), George Pylant III (Cynthia) and Lee Pylant (Katherine), sisters Susan French (Art) of Rockport and June Young of Austin, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 5 nieces and 7 nephews. Dolores was a Registered Nurse (RN), an avid golfer, great cook, fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed being in the woods with her family. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Epiphany with a reception in the Parish Hall immediately following. At Epiphany George and Dolores donated many hours to the work of the ECHOS program. ECHOS is an outreach program dedicated to helping members of the community access available health and social services. In lieu of flowers, live plants for outside gardens would be welcome or donations to the ECHOS program.
