Marie M. McMillen was born in Liberty, Texas on March 28th, 1963 and was the fifth child out of an eventual six children. Her parents were Dewey Alexander McMillen Junior and Thelma McMillen-Level. She also grew very close to her grandparents, Dewey Alexander McMillen Senior and Blanche Jannise McMillen.
Marie McMillen was determined to make a better life for herself and others so she set out to receive a higher education from Houston Community College where she studied Logistics, Transportation, & Supply Chain Management. Using her knowledge, she owned her own business and managed retail companies, while raising her son Manuel “CJ” Johnson Jr. She loved many things, but her family and God were the most important to her.
Marie embraced the Lord on Tuesday, allowing her to reunite with her parents, grandparents, stepbrother David Level and sister-in-law Andle McMillen that preceded her in death. She is survived by loving husband, Max Mahmood (and Peanut); siblings, Dewey McMillen III, Leona and John Hall, Ervin McMillen, RoseAnna and James Lerma; son, Manuel “CJ” Johnson Jr. and his wife Hayleigh Johnson with her beloved grandson, Austin Trevor Johnson.
Marie McMillen impacted many people in her life through church, work, friendships and more. Her family would like to celebrate her life through a visitation and service on Wednesday December 2nd, 2015. The visitation will last from 12pm to 2pm, promptly followed by the Memorial Service. Both service and visitation will be held at Carnes Funeral Home –Texas City 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas 77591.
