Lorenzo Colvin, Jr.

Lorenzo Colvin, Jr.

Lorenzo, Jr was born on Tuesday, February 24, 1953.  He was the fourth bundle of blessing God gave to Lorenzo and LaDessa Colvin.

Lorenzo, Jr fondly called “Buggy” was such a sweet, loving and caring child.  He was always compassionate and thoughtful towards his sisters, best friend with his brother, had an unbreakable bond with his father and was definitely true to his mother.

Buggy matriculated through LaMarque ISD graduating in Class of 1971.  Following high school he attended College of the Mainland.  He had a unique gift/talent in drawing.  Whatever beheld his eyes, with excellence, he could capture on paper.

In May 1982 he married Lois Malveaux.  Together they were blessed with two children; Davion Alexander and Sheena Colvin.  Buggy was such a proud father and the best grandpa that any grand-child could wish for.  He totally poured himself into the lives of his grandchildren.  Attending birthday parties, family gatherings and spending quality time with them.  He was indeed a lover of sports and was the number 1 fan of the Dallas Cowboys.  It was natural that he took an active role in the sports life of his grands, attending each and every one of their games regardless of circumstances.

He was a full time employee at British Petroleum Company until he choose to take early retirement in 2006.  So many lives were touched by Buggy.  He was loving and kind-hearted to anyone who crossed his path.

Preceding him in death are his parents, step-son Davion Alexander and grandson Elijah Alexander.  To cherish his memories are his best friend/ex wife LoisColvin, daughter Sheena Colvin, sons Schultz Scales {Sabrina}, Jeremy Colvin and Lorenzo Colvin, III; eight grandsons Dylan and Devin Savage, Kaivis, Mason and Jaxx Alexander, Shane and Sidney Scales, Jeremiah Colvin; two grand-daughters Harmony Colvin and Peiton Hendon; one brother Raymond  Colvin [Lou} four sisters Judy Colvin, Eva Davis, Brenda Steadham [John}, and Janice Olaniran[Thomas]; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Lorenzo “Buggy” Colvin, Jr was indeed loved by his entire family, Lance Cleveland, his best friend who was like a brother and all his coffee buddies.  We ALL will surely miss him.
