Lodie Howard Comeaux
Lodie Howard Comeaux transitioned from this earthly life on the Ninth day of December, 2015 in Texas City, TX.
Lodie was born April on a beautiful day in St Landry Parrish, Louisiana to Liverpool & Lodie Howard. She resided in Morrow Louisiana until moving to Galveston, Texas. She Graduated from Lincoln High School in Louisiana in 1955 and received a certification in Small Business Administration at College of the Mainland in 1978.
My Mother was a devoted member of Living Word Community of Faith in Hitchcock, Texas serving as an Usher and Kitchen Ministry until her health begin to fail. She worked hard and retired from UTMB after 30 years of service. She then devoted her life to caring for others in their time of need. My Mother always put her needs last to care for me and my children and we will miss her very much.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her surviving siblings, Jack Howard (Mary), Hebert Howard and Lorena Chaney; her daughter, Carol L Davis (Ahmaal); her grandsons, Adrion Newton (Nnenna), Corey Sonnier II and Derius Wolf (Tiavonnie); a great grandson, Adrion Newton II; her god daughter, Roylisha Tolden; devoted nieces, Yolanda Harris, Denise Harris & Nicole Howard; and a host of family members along with her her best friend of many years Mary Douglas.
Special thanks to Andrea & Amber Flowers, Cynthia McNelty and the Nursing Staff at Mainland Medical Center ICU.
The Family will Celebrate her life beginning at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 19, 2015 in the Chapel of Carnes Funeral Home 3100 Gulf Freeway Texas City, TX 77591. Condolences may be sent to the The Funeral Home.
