Larry was born November 15, 1952 in Rio Grande City, Texas to Lauro Enrique Garza and Delia Ruth Arzamendi Garza. He worked professionally for Exxon for many years. He was an active member of Praise Chapel Church in Houston and Pastor Roy Love was his pastor. His calling and his life was about spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, literally to the ends of the earth. He and his wife Linda were missionaries to over 50 countries, especially those along the Old Silk Road, also known as the 10/40 window, from China to Jerusalem and throughout the Middle East. Larry was an intense man, born that way because he needed to be, to go the places and do the things God called him to do. Many times he would be called on to do things that normal men would not do. One of his favorite sayings was “If you can’t speak faith, then shut up” or you could get us killed! His family was most important to him and the support he received from his wife Linda was unending. He would tell her “My taste are simple, I only like the best!”
