Laura Lee Pry
Anyone who met Laura would know she was a fun and passionate person. She was born on March 31, 1952 in South Carolina and moved quite a bit. Her father, whom she spoke of fondly, became a Lieutenant in the U.S Navy after serving as a Master Chief Petty Officer. Her father’s military career took the family throughout the nation to several different naval bases. Laura’s favorite base was Hawaii, where she was lucky enough to spend most of her childhood.
Thirty five years ago, Laura married the love of her life, Mike Pry. The two spent their lives together in the kind of marriage most people dream about. A visitor to their home or boat would recognize the passion, love and companionship they shared. The happy couple enjoyed their life on boats and living by the sea. Laura’s time with Mike was life at its best and fullest.
Laura’s proudest accomplishment in life was her son, Derek. It was always important to her that Derek get a good college education. She was supportive in that endeavor and helped him make this a priority in his life. She happily watched her son grow into a handsome, smart, happy man who has a family of his own. Laura loved her daughter-in-law, Sarah and her granddaughter, Chloe. She enjoyed telling her friends about their life and the man Derek is. As she often said, she was a proud mom.
Laura and Mike are long time residents of El Lago, Texas. Laura had a multitude of friends in the area and was the life of the party in her younger years.
Laura leaves behind her loving husband Mike, son Derek, daughter-in-law Sarah, granddaughter Chloe and siblings Tom Cole and Lynn Humme. We are all sad and heart broken, but we take comfort in knowing she is in heaven and at peace.
