Lalage Bullion

Lalage Bullion
After her heroic battle with cancer, Lalage Bullion passed away in her home on October 18,
2016. Daughter of Early and Lalage Deane, she was born with twin brother,  Bill on June 30,
1952.

Lalage grew up in Hazeldale, Oregon and was in the first graduating class of Aloha High School
in 1970, where she was active in student politics and the performing arts.

While Lalage was serving in the United State Army, she met and married her husband, Richard. They
shared 42 years together, most of which they spent in Houston, Texas. Their daughter Jean was
born in 1984.

Lalage had an insightful intelligence and a quick wit. She loved language, movies, history, and
politics, and she had opinions on all. Most of all she deeply loved her family and home. In 2010,
she left a long, successful career in operations in the investment industry to devote her time to
her home and family.

She is preceded by her brother, William Deane and parents, Lalage Slay Deane and Early Deane Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Jean Schaefer and husband, Ryan Schaefer;
brother, Michael Deane; sister, Lenell Deane; brother, Early Deane III, beloved nieces, nephews, loving in-laws,
and a host of long-time friends.

Lalage was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was brave, funny, smart, and a
beautiful person inside and out. A day will not pass that she is not missed.

A private memorial and family gathering will be held at a later date.
