Kyle Joseph Meier
Our son and brother, Kyle Joseph Meier, 21, of Santa Fe, Texas, was taken from us suddenly on Thursday, March 17, 2011. The world was blessed when our beautiful, little red-headed ball of fire came into this world in Texas City, Texas, October 19th, 1989.
Kyle attended all of his school years in Santa Fe, Texas. He graduated from Collegiate High School at College of the Mainland as well as Santa Fe High School in 2008, graduating from these high schools just one class shy of his Associates Degree. He earned his Associates Degree and continued to take classes at both College of the Mainland and University of Houston, working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
During high school, Kyle began working as a waiter at Gringo’s in Texas City. He continued waiting tables through high school and while attending college, working for over three years at Olive Garden on Bay Area and, for a short while, at Saltgrass Steakhouse on Kemah Boardwalk.
Kyle loved life to the fullest, always lived life on the edge, and was always the life of a party. He had a passion for skateboarding and loved trick bicycling. Loving the outdoors, Kyle always looked forward to going hunting with his dad, brothers, grandpa, and friends. We have especially wonderful memories from trips with Kyle to our floating cabin in Baffin Bay. Kyle truly loved spending time on the boat spending time fishing with his dad, brothers, and friends. These family times were happy and special to all. So full of life and always the first person to jump in to lend a helping hand to someone in need, he never met a stranger, could talk to anyone, and was forgotten by no one. Kyle was truly loved by everyone.
Those blessed to know Kyle or wishing to give condolences are welcome to attend a visitation from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21st at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591.
A celebration of his vibrant life will also be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22nd at Carnes Funeral Home.
