Judy Maureen Stafford Smith was born April 9, 1955 in Galveston, TX, to Major Ferguson Williams Jr. and Jimmie Mae McDonald Williams. She passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the age of 62 years, in Texas City, Texas.

She leaves to cherish her memory two loving sons, Demond Phillip Stafford of Dickinson, TX, and Kevin Louis Stafford of Texas City, TX; two loving and devoted sisters, Shirley E. Harrison and husband Cleveland Harrison of Houston, TX and Paula Jean Tatum of Texas City, TX; loving brother Gary Earl Williams; loving and devoted granddaughter: Shae-Marie Ruth Stafford-Trujillo of Dickinson TX, granddaughter and grandson Keleigh Stafford and Kevin Stafford Jr.; daughter-in-law, Annie Trujillo of Dickinson, TX, loving Uncle and Aunt George Jr. and Totsie McDonald of Texas City, TX, loving Aunts LaVerne McDonald of Texas City, TX and Dolores McDonald of Friendswood, TX; loving nephews, niece, great-nephews, and many loving cousins, relatives and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by parents Major Ferguson Williams Jr. and Jimmie Mae McDonald Williams; brother Major Williams III; grandparents: Major Sr. and Annie Williams, George and Prezella McDonald.

Judy was a longtime resident of Texas City, Texas and graduated from LaMarque High School class of ’73. She was formally employed with American National Insurance Company and The Children’s Center Daycare. Judy loved her family and friends, however her grandchildren had a special place in her heart.

Pallbearers are David Williams, Dwayne Tatum, Major Williams, Stephan Trujillo, Nathan Vaughn and Bobby Booker.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held on Monday, July 3rd, 2017 at McKinney Memorial United Methodist Church: 1607 Nashby Street, La Marque, Texas 77568.  The service will begin at 11:00am with Rev. Carlos R. Phillips officiating.
