Joseph Culton Williams, Jr.
Joseph Culton Williams, Jr., “Jr.” as he was fondly called by his family, received his reward of eternal life on March 31, 2011. He was born October 30, 1952 to Selonia and Joseph Williams, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister Gail Williams.
Joseph leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 24 years, Elaine Williams; his daughters, Sherry Williams, Natalie Williams, Brittney Williams and Chauntae’ Clark; his son, Corey Williams; 4 grand daughters and 1 grandson; his siblings, Verla (Harry) Vaughn, Donnie Faye (Greg) Jenkins, Lucinda Briggs, D. W. Johnson, Buford (Julia) Williams; mother in law, Loretta Danzler; brother in law, Joseph Clark, Jr. (Phyllis); sister in law, Kimberly Allen; special aunt, Madelyn Hubbard and many other family members; special friends, Stan Fifer, Edward Joe Brooks, Gearry Rogers, Alfred Lancaster, Carl Holt Rosevelt Richard.
A Public Viewing is planned for Friday, April 8, 2011 from 5until 8:00 PM in the chapel of Carnes Funeral Home 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 12:30 PM at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, 302 North Oak, Texas City, TX 77591. Reverend D.N. Benford will conduct the services. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX. Arrangement of services will be conducted by Dorthea Jones, Funeral Director, and the competent and caring staff of Carnes Funeral Home.
