John William Holtz
John William Holtz was born in Houston, Texas on June 1, 1952 and went to the Lord on February 5, 2015 at 62 years of age.
He is preceded in death by parents, Marcella Ryan Holtz and Ralph William Holtz.
John is survived by wife of 34 years, Catherine Mary Holtz; daughter, Lindsay Ryan Kirkendall; son-in-law, Christopher Ryan Kirkendall, and granddaughter, Cadence Parker Kirkendall.
John spent his formative years in Houston, TX growing up in Oak Estates before graduating from Lamar High School and later studying Criminal Justice at the University of Houston. He met his wife in Highland Village and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas when they purchased their first home. They relocated to the community of Dickinson, TX to raise their daughter and settle in an area close to family and his career at BP Texas City where he developed many close friendships.
John was a devoted husband and loving father. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family, and long walks with the family dogs. He loved reading the Bible with his wife and is fondly remembered praying on Sunday mornings after listening to a sermon by Joel Osteen.
His strength, compassion, and drive can be reflected in the legacy of his work and loved ones. John will be greatly missed and has found peace and everlasting life in Heaven.
