John Michael Moreno
John Michael Moreno, 55, of Galveston, TX entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, November 6,2013. Born May 7,1958 to John and Barbara Moreno of Galveston TX.
Johnny is survived by his loving daughters, Christie Moreno Garza and son in law Pedro Garza and grand children Micah John Garza and Lexie BriAnn Garza of Cypress, TX, Misty Moreno and son in law Rudy Aldape of Texas City, TX and grandchildren; Isaiah Antonio Gauvin, Alyssa Autumn Aldape and Rudy Aldape, as well as son Jonathan Brown of Webster, TX.
Survived also by his six sisters; Sherry, Patricia, Vera, Josie, Belinda, Kathryn and his brother Lawrence Moreno Sr. John leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews which he loved and was blessed to help raise
An electrician by trade, Johnny was a talented artist who loved music and spending time with his family. He enjoyed being outdoors, cooking, watching football games especially those played by his grandchildren. A kind, Loving spirit Johnny was known to give the last dollar in his pocket or the shirt off his back for any in need. Johnny leaves behind a plethora of loving friends and his legacy will forever be missed.
Thanks to the graciousness of a family in Dallas, John received the Gift of life on June 9,2013 extending the time for his family to cherish. Although John was unable to make a full recovery his children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends want to thank all the staff at U.T.M.B. hospital
( transplant, SICU, and Hemo-dialysis units) Davita, Kindred Hospital, Regency Village and Victory Lakes Specialty Clinics a sincere thank you as their time and dedication brought John such comfort and tender love in the last year of his life.
Services will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 at Carnes Funeral Homes, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX. 77591 from 5 to 8 pm as a celebration of life lead by dear lifetime friend Ernest De Los Santos.
As an extended thanks his daughters would like to express special gratitude to Elizabeth Latiolais, LMSW and Luca Cicalese M.D. Without their dedication to changing lives within the medical field this journey would not have been possible. Their efforts and commitment changed the Moreno family lives forever as well as many others before and after John.
