John (Johnny) Hancock, 64, of South Houston, Texas entered his Eternal Rest on February 2, 2020.
Johnny was born on August 22, 1955 in Jasper, Texas to Lloyd and Ima Hancock. He lived a simple yet fulfilling life. In his eyes his greatest achievements were his beautiful daughter Katie and his love and care of Sarah Hart, his stepdaughter.
Johnny leaves behind the three loves of his life: his wife of 21 years Brenda Baize, daughter Katie Hancock, and his niece Christine Schraer.
Johnny worked for Southwest Signal Supply, Inc. for 15 years. This was his home away from home, and he will be greatly missed by his many friends and coworkers whom he considered family.
The birth and death of this great man; husband, father, uncle, brother, and friend is not nearly as relevant as what he did between those dates. The care, kindness, respect, and love Johnny always gave to those he held important is undeniable.
Funeral Services for John Glover Hancock will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday February 8th at Carnes Funeral Home – 1102 Indiana Street, South Houston, Texas 77587.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please be kind to someone. Call a friend or relativethat you haven’t reached out to lately, or take the time to visit a nursing home or volunteer at a shelter. Forgive someone you are peeved at. All acts of kindness are greatly appreciated by the family and by Johnny.
