Jesse Navarro, Sr.
Jesse Navarro Sr. 78, departed to be with the Lord on September 14, 2016 in Texas City. He was born February 15, 1938 to Victor and Barbara Navarro in League City, Texas. He graduated from Dickinson High School in 1959. On September 15, 1962 he married Irene Valdez in Texas City and raised his family in Dickinson. Jesse spent his life owning several business (Navarro’s Gulf Station, Navarro’s Grill, and Quick Carpet Cleaning) working in the oil and gas industry, umpiring at the ball parks, coaching, watching local football and baseball games or traveling and practicing sports with his grandkids and great grandkids. He always was the person to call when you needed advice or something fixed. He loved spending time watching or talking sports and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He always put his family first and would do anything for them. He enjoyed working and only retired a few years prior to his passing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Jesse Navarro Sr. is survived by his three sons, Jesse Navarro Jr. and his wife Kathy, Kenneth Navarro Sr. and his wife Rosa, Terry Navarro, and Irene Navarro; eight grandchildren Sheena Navarro, Jessica Navarro, Kenneth Navarro Jr. and Michelle, Ashley Navarro, Zachary Navarro, Alexandria Navarro, Brooke Morales and Justin, Nicholas Bowman; seven great grandchildren, Sebastian, Angel, Sofia, Victor, Madelyn, Parker and Archer; sisters Mary Cortez, Barbara Velasco, Doris Sawyer; his brother Victor Navarro along with numerous nieces, nephews cousins and loved ones.
He is preceded in death, by his father Victor Navarro and mother Barbara Navarro; brother Joe Navarro and sister Janie Henry.
Visitation for Jesse Navarro Sr. will be held at Carnes Funeral Home 3100 Gulf Fwy in Texas City, Texas from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Tues., September 20, 2016, with a Memorial Service beginning at 7pm.
