Jeffrey Mark Ozbirn
Jeffrey Mark Ozbirn, 59, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loved ones after a valiant battle with lung cancer. He was the beloved husband of Debbie Ozbirn. They shared 8 years of marriage together. He was born on March 7, 1956, in Waukegan, Illinois. He was the son of Bobby and Katherine Ozbirn. He graduated college in Mississippi with a degree in music/teaching. He was the owner of Advanced Pilot Car Service in Pasadena, Tx. Jeff was a member of Watters Road Church of Christ. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and loved going to the beach, playing tennis, and traveling. Jeff was a very loving and patient man and had a strong passion for helping others. He (along with a partner) started a sobriety living home called Safe Place in Corpus Christi, Tx, where he dedicated 8 years of his time and effort, for others to come join in and work together, supporting each other in their steps to reaching sobriety. He was survived by his wife Debbie Ozbirn, his daughter Fallon Hartsell and her husband Brad, his son Collin Ozbirn, step-children Savannah McCann and her husband Edward Guerrero, and David McCann, his grandchildren, Melody, Tre, and Abigail Guerrero, Ethan McCann, Lucy and Violet Hartsell, and his brother Greg Ozbirn. Jeff also has a lot of nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him very much, he was a family oriented person, and he enjoyed being around his family. He also had a pet named Lily, whom he adored. His father Bobby Ozbirn preceded him in death. Jeffrey will be greatly missed. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 3:00 at Watters Road Church of Christ at 3616 Watters Rd. Pasadena, Tx 77504. Memorial Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, his favorite charity.
