James Thomas Wade
James Thomas (Tommy) Wade passed away from this life on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of forty years Stacy Grubbs Wade of Hitchcock, TX, daughter Wendy Michelle Wade of Santa Fe, TX, son James William (Will) Wade and wife Meridith Gerky Wade of Rosharon, TX. Granddaughters, Kendall Paige Roberts of Texas City, TX, Karly Ryane Mendoza, and Kerrington Jaymes Wade of Santa Fe, TX. Brother David Joseph Wade and wife Paula of League City, TX, brother in laws Tracy Grubbs of Texas City, TX and Robby Grubbs and wife Janelle of Texas City, TX. Father in law Allen Herren of Dubach, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tommy was born on January 4, 1958 in Texas City to James W. (Jim) Wade and Jo Ann Hewitt Wade. Tommy is the great grandson of Ignatz and Karoline Roth, early pioneers and one of the first five families of Texas City in the 1870’s. Tommy loved fishing, hunting, sports and taking care of his beloved paradise he created, Wades on the Bayou. He was extremely gifted in his work ethic and commitment to his family and friends. Tommy was an intelligent entrepreneur and business man and could build, create, or repair anything he put his hands on. He was a member of Pipefitters Local 211 in Houston, TX for over 35 years. Tommy was one of a kind and his talents and love for his family and friends will truly be missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28th from 6pm to 8pm at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City, TX. Funeral Services will be held at Arcadia First Baptist Church in Santa Fe, TX on Saturday, April 29th at 1pm with burial to follow. Pallbearers include, Wayne Conner (Speedy), Ronnie Blackburn, John Madden, Robby Grubbs, David Wade and Jimmy Hart.
