James Thomas Kline
James “Jim” Thomas Kline, 71, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2018 in Pearland, Texas.
Jim was born on April 16, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio and was the son of the late Richard and Margaret Kline. Jim graduated from Spring Branch High School then attended the University of Houston. In 1970, Jim was drafted into the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. While in the army, he won several medals including one for sharpshooting. Jim retired from BP Amoco and afterwards enjoyed many years of fishing in Galveston Bay, traveling and taking cruises.
Most recently, Jim was an active member of the Y.M.C.A. and enjoyed exercising, socializing and taking field trips. He was an avid domino player never missed an opportunity to play with friends.
Jim is survived by his son, Jacob Kline; daughter, Patricia Jackson and her husband, Kevin; daughter, Denise Wise; grandchildren: Chase Ybarra, Taylor Wise, Colby Wise, Emma Jackson, Will Jackson; brother, John Kline; ex-sister-in-law, Peggy Colin along with many other friends and relatives.
Jim’s ashes will scattered in Galveston Bay at a later date.
