James Robert Webb
James Robert “Bobby” Webb, 91 of Angleton, TX. left us for his Heavenly Home on February 3, 2019. He was at his residence and surrounded by his family.
Bobby was born in Mansfield, La. on July 1, 1927, where he attended school, became a firm believer in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and joined the United States Navy near the close of WW2. Later he attended Northwestern University whereupon graduating with a degree in chemistry he moved to Angleton and went to work for Dow Chemical Co. Spider, as his co-workers called him, was employed there for 42 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson and Jimilee Webb, his brothers Ray Webb, Ross Webb, and Robert Peterson. Baba, as his family would call him in later life is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lee Webb, his sons, and their wives, Robert and Patrice Webb and Russell and Lanna Webb.
Baba is also survived by his grandchildren, Justin and wife Sarah Hyman, Lane, Zoe’ and Arianna Webb, and Veronica Davis. He had 3 great-grandchildren, Bridgett Hines, Malak Akkouche, and Bixby Elias Hyman. His great-great grandson, Michael Frank Hines will be here in July.
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of James Robert Webb will be held at time to be announced.
