Jake Hugh Seaborn
Jake Hugh Seaborn passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at his home in the Clear Lake area of Houston, Texas.
Hugh was born December 25, 1929, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Luther and Althea Seaborn. He grew up in Chandler, Oklahoma and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Virginia T. Seaborn in 1953 and they lived with their four daughters in Tulsa, Oklahoma and then Houston, Texas. Hugh was an entrepreneur and started many businesses, primarily in the airline business and real estate. Widowed in 2007, Hugh married Beatriz (Bety) Pena in 2009, and they enjoyed traveling and going to the local American Legion Post together.
Hugh is preceded in death by his daughter Karen Seaborn.
He is survived by his wife, Bety; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Nathan Gold, Susan Seaborn and Billy Cope, and Ingrid Seaborn and Patrick Moore; and grandchildren, Aaron Hermes, Mike Spencer, Sean Spencer, Alex Gold, Laura Gold, Wade Cope, Seth Cope and Rowen Moore.
Interment will be in Chandler, Oklahoma.
A reception for family and friends will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 12pm – 2pm at the American Legion Post 490 in South Houston, at 11702 Galveston Rd, Houston, Texas.
